I like baking.
I have a bit of an obsession with milkshakes. I will happily drink a pint of the stuff and surprisingly not feel sick after… which is a bit worrying.
I’m currently a Pastry Chef in a 5 star London Hotel.
Food is such a big part of my life, in fact it’s my entire life. Not ever one to have been interested in photography; surprisingly after a couple of months of this blog, I had officially caught the photography bug.
I’m all consumed by food, the emotions it can evoke and entranced by beautiful photos. It’s ridiculously fascinating that you can mix a few simple ingredients together and create something complex and simply delicious.
I’m into good home cooking, throwing in a few fancy pieces here and there.
Yes, I’m a pastry chef but I still love simple cooking with simple ingredients the most. For me, a rustic crusty loaf of bread from an artisan baker is much more appealing than a micro-sized main course from a fancy restaurant.
Baking is something that should be treasured, taken time over and enjoyed during a long afternoon. It’s not something that you stress over. It’s not something that makes your mind explode because you might not have enough time to make that elaborate boat-shaped birthday cake. Just chill out… its just cake.
