Hi, I'm Hope. I like to bake stuff.
I'm currently a Pastry chef in a 5 star London Hotel.
This blog is a way for me to bake comforting home food that I love as well as being a creative outlet for all of my recipe experiments.
I love how food can create atmosphere, emotion and send you back to memories you thought you'd long forgotten.
A perfect day for me is tottering around my kitchen, getting blobs of butter and scatterings of flour in my hair without a care in the world. And at the end of it, feeding the people I love with delicious food that I love.
So welcome to my little bit of foodie escapism in this big internet world of blogging.

If someone had told me a year or two ago that I’d be someone that ordered a salad regularly in a restaurant, I’d run away and hide all the goodies I could get my hands on thinking they were about … Continue reading →
I’ve been obsessing over ice cream sandwiches for a few weeks now. I craved them after finding a food truck (Blu top Ice Cream Sandwiches) which made large cookie sandwiches filled with wonderful ice creams. Flavours such as; toast and jam, builders tea and bourbon … Continue reading →
I love finding new cookie recipes. I love it because I love having stashes of them in the freezer. A whole array of them, glistening there like my own personal cookie shop. It’s important to have this all year round … Continue reading →
September is one of the better months in the year. It’s crisp morning air, chilly evenings and the skin warming midday in-between. As much as I love cozying up in a heavy scarf and coat during winter, it feels amazing to … Continue reading →
April showers have officially hit and, completely going back on what I said two posts ago, I want comfort food. In my strawberry, peach and ginger crumble post I went on about how I was ready for summer and a glut of … Continue reading →
Word of warning: please don’t get angry at me when you eat all 30 of these cookies, warm from the oven, without feeling any remorse. It’s totally worth it. I’m speaking from experience. I need to go to some sort of … Continue reading →
