Hi, I'm Hope. I like to bake stuff.
I'm currently a Pastry chef in a 5 star London Hotel.
This blog is a way for me to bake comforting home food that I love as well as being a creative outlet for all of my recipe experiments.
I love how food can create atmosphere, emotion and send you back to memories you thought you'd long forgotten.
A perfect day for me is tottering around my kitchen, getting blobs of butter and scatterings of flour in my hair without a care in the world. And at the end of it, feeding the people I love with delicious food that I love.
So welcome to my little bit of foodie escapism in this big internet world of blogging.

I woke up this morning with the sun charring my bare arm. My limb sticking out of the covers like a flower thirsty for light. I turned over, blinded by the sunlight, and let the blond rays tingle my cheeks. This was the … Continue reading
A few weeks ago, I decided to put Blood Orange Posset on the Du Jour menu at work. Ever since, I’ve been obsessed with Blood Oranges and Possets. I completely forgot how much I love Posset. I honestly think it’s … Continue reading
I mentioned in my last post that I had had two failed baking attempts this week. A sauceless ‘self-saucing’ Chocolate Pudding and an Autumnal Eton Mess which really wasn’t appealing. The disappointing part of these failed bakes wasn’t that they … Continue reading
This is possibly the biggest thing that has ever emerged from my kitchen. It looks pretty in the photo… but hell its a monster. Once the meringue was on the baking sheets, it really didn’t look that huge I promise. … Continue reading
