Hi, I'm Hope. I like to bake stuff.
I'm currently a Pastry chef in a 5 star London Hotel.
This blog is a way for me to bake comforting home food that I love as well as being a creative outlet for all of my recipe experiments.
I love how food can create atmosphere, emotion and send you back to memories you thought you'd long forgotten.
A perfect day for me is tottering around my kitchen, getting blobs of butter and scatterings of flour in my hair without a care in the world. And at the end of it, feeding the people I love with delicious food that I love.
So welcome to my little bit of foodie escapism in this big internet world of blogging.

The weather seems to have taken a turn to rain and chilling winds along with the ever increasingly dark mornings and evenings. I’m honestly getting excited for christmas time already. A bit eager, I know. As the light continues to retreat into … Continue reading
The first time I tasted French Toast was about two and half years ago. As part of my job, I was offered a free stay in the Hotel. This was a crazy treat on its own, but the food was … Continue reading
If I could have pancakes every morning, I would. Although, I don’t know if that ruins them a bit? I suppose that would ruin everything special if you could have it everyday. Christmas every single day of the year definitely wouldn’t be … Continue reading
Breakfast is by far my favourite meal. Second is Sunday Lunch. Third – Dessert. Weird order of preference for a baking obsessed 20 something pastry chef… I know. I just love having a mini lie-in on my day off and … Continue reading
