Hi, I'm Hope. I like to bake stuff.
I'm currently a Pastry chef in a 5 star London Hotel.
This blog is a way for me to bake comforting home food that I love as well as being a creative outlet for all of my recipe experiments.
I love how food can create atmosphere, emotion and send you back to memories you thought you'd long forgotten.
A perfect day for me is tottering around my kitchen, getting blobs of butter and scatterings of flour in my hair without a care in the world. And at the end of it, feeding the people I love with delicious food that I love.
So welcome to my little bit of foodie escapism in this big internet world of blogging.

Cornish pasties are always guaranteed to put a smile on anyones face. Traditional cornish pasties are filled to the brim with meat and veg; all encased in short crumbly pastry. The ideal takeaway lunch to keep you warm as this … Continue reading
I’m pretty sure every baker out there will know the giddy feeling you get from the smell of freshly baked bread. A feeling of complete relaxation when that sweet warm aroma wafts around you. You let go of every worry … Continue reading
I don’t have much of a relationship with tea. As I’m English I should, stereotypically, adore tea. However, I always find myself reaching for a strong punchy coffee rather than a milky almost bland cup of tea. I’m much more … Continue reading
